Genesis Becomes An Employee Owned Company

Effective January 1, 2012, Genesis Integration Inc. became a company owned by the employees. Genesis President, Kelly McCarthy and Genesis Vice President of Business, Dan Moran, continue to own a significant portion of the company. What has changed is the fact that several of the company employees now own shares through an internal Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP).

"It is our intention to sell the entire company to the employees over a period of several years," stated McCarthy. The ESOP has been a work in progress for several years as it was always the intention of the senior equity holders to liquidate and establish succession in this manner. It was reasoned that an already engaged workforce would become a significant competitive advantage once they became owners. This is the ultimate win/win/win scenario.

"Our customers get the best and most engaged workforce in the industry, our employees get to share in the success of the company, and the founders get an exit strategy that satisfies financial requirements and rewards people for years of loyal service," noted McCarthy. The company intendes to continue to attract the very best people in the industry and has a system in place to further reward them.
